Simulacra is a horror simulation singleplayer choice matter game Developed by Kaigan Games, where you receive a phone and get to make choices to change the current situation that will affect the lives of 2 people: Anna, the phone’s owner, and Taylor, someone found on Spark a dating app in the game.
Gameplay and Characters
You hold the phone as a real one and get tasks with choices that will alternate the ending of the game. You will have to find passwords, dates and other secrets to hack into the phone while talking to Anna’s contacts to find more about Anna and save her
Anna is the owner of the phone you found at your door. You will try to save her by contacting pretty much everyone on her phone.
Greg is the funny ex-boyfriend of Anna together in a relationship for two years. But as their relationship became unhealthy he started to cheat on her with another girl called Yolanda
Ashley is one of Anna’s best friends since childhood. She’s also the clue to one of the endings after she reveals important information to you.
James is the lost soul inside Anna’s phone. He was forced to be pushed off a cliff. He’s also the previous victim of the Simulacra.
Simulacra is the mysterious entity that you will meet at the end of the game. It’s also the protagonist of this game
Graphics and music
As you advance into the game you discover more about all the aspects of it related to its graphics, music and sound effects. As you advance everything attracts you more and more into the game. There isn’t a lot of music as you have to be concentrated to make the right choices and follow the story.
Simulacra is a masterpiece and reminds me of Life Is Strange as both games need choices and feelings to move forward. Even if it takes some time to get into the story and understand the basics of the game and how to play it. If you’re into more story driven scary games then it’s worth to learn the basics and give this game a try.
